The Hackerspace Ffm e.V. is at the boiler house of a former shoe machinery factory located.That unique atmosphere comes with an old tradtition. The machinery company was founded 1st October 1900 as subsidiary of the 'United Shoe Machinery' Company (USM), Boston/Mass. Back then, the modern equipped high-tech factory rented out their products, to even allow small companies to get access to the latest technology in the field of shoemaking.
